Description
1912 – SALVADOR DALÍ 8 YEARS OLD
Sumer 1912, Dalí moved with his family to a new home on the corner of the street Monturiol, and the square la Palmera. The apartment was on the upper floor of a modernistic Building. The room of the House, which offered a magnificent perspective of the Alt Empordà, had a disused laundry room that Dalí transformed into his first drawing and painting workshop. The space was tiny, but it served its purpose perfectly. Dalí sat inside the sink and used the washboard as a work table. On summer days, when the heat was stifling, he would open the tap and let the water reach up to his waist.
